La Charpenterie

After 20 years of absence, La Charpenterie is reopening its doors to welcome you to a mythical place steeped in history.
Relive the 1970s in Val d'Isère in a friendly atmosphere and cuisine.
Remember “Les Bronzés are skiing”, and Gigi (Marie-Anne Chazel) who “got bored serving idiot heads, who ask for sweet pancakes all day long”, and dental floss in Savoyard fondue …..well it was at La Charpenterie.
Rest assured, Gigi is no longer part of the restaurant team.
Today, Félix Ramade, grandson of the Taillefers, founders of the house, which was also a hotel (the Lorès), runs "la Charpenterie".
Push the door of "chez Gigi", you will discover a period decoration which gives a lot of charm, and will find the great pleasure to delight your taste buds!
The atmosphere is very pleasant!
A refined and gourmet cuisine associated with a warm and sincere welcome is offered to you, for a dinner with friends or simply a small aperitif by the fireplace.
Very tasteful French cuisine with very well mastered modern touches.
The wine list is chosen with love.
Authenticity, quality cuisine, varied with beautiful products, a nice wine list, very friendly staff and boss, make La Charpenterie a nugget in Val-d'Isère.
See you soon, and there is no sugar crepe….!
